Important to Know

Any positivity to the serological test requires you to promptly inform your doctor, providing that the person undergoes nasopharyngeal swab in order to exclude or confirm the presence of an ongoing infection. In any case, it is mandatory to refer to the provisions of the directives of the region to which the positive person belongs. It should also be noted that the serological tests for the detection of antibodies directed against SARS-CoV-2 do not in any way replace the molecular test performed with real-time PCR for the research of the viral genome on nasopharyngeal swab, which, as confirmed by WHO, it is the only internationally accepted standard diagnostic approach to date.
